Reports on the Birmingham Mail website are linking Walsall with a Deadline Day move for Plymouth Argyle striker Jake Jervis, with the club looking to land the former Birmingham City attacker for a fee of around £100,000.
26-year-old Jervis has scored just four goals in twenty-eight appearances for the Pilgrims and is available for transfer as long as his current side can sign a replacement.
Jervis, who spent much of his time at St Andrews out on loan to clubs such as Hereford United, Notts County, Swindon Town, Preston North End, Carlisle United, Tranmere Rovers and Portsmouth, has made 235 career appearances, scoring fifty-four goals.
Jake spent six months with Turkish Süper Lig club Elazığspor in 2013, rejoined former loan club Portsmouth in 2014, and spent a season in Scotland with Ross County before signing for Plymouth Argyle, the eleventh club of his senior career, in the summer of 2015.
