The latest Deadline Day rumours suggest that Walsall have expressed an interest in FK Slovenske Darmoty striker Fabián Slančík, as manager Jon Whitney looks to add to his strikeforce with his side sitting perilously close to the League One relegation zone.
26-year-old Slančík is just one of many strikers to be linked with the Saddlers over the last few months and could be something of an unknown if he were to arrive at the club during deadline day.
Slančík is a product of the FC Baník Veľký Krtíš and Banská Bystrica youth systems and has played for several clubs including Bystrica, Lučenec (loan), FC Zbrojovka Brno, Spartak Myjava (loan), Zlaté Moravce (loan) and Kremser SC.
This is likely to be one of many links to be suggested over the course of Deadline Day, and there will no doubt be several ups and downs during the day.
