Walsall Football Club have this afternoon confirmed that on-loan Sheffield United defender James Wilson has been recalled by his parent club as he continues to be linked with a move away from Bramall Lane.
In a statement released via the club's official website Saddlers.co.uk, Walsall FC confirm; Walsall Football Club can confirm that James Wilson has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Sheffield United. The 28-year-old defender scored once in 20 appearances for The Saddlers having joined on loan from The Blades.
The loan deal was for the whole season but contained a break clause in January, which United have activated to bring Wilson back to Bramall Lane. We would like to thank James for his efforts in the first half of the season and wish him the best going forward.
