One of the major stories to emerge from Thursday evening's Fans Focus event was the yet-to-be-decided future of attacking midfielder, Erhun Oztumer, who has less than six-months remaining in his Saddlers deal.
Erhun, who joined the club on a free transfer from Peterborough United in the summer of 2016, has made over seventy first-team appearances and is firmly established as a fan favourite.
It was confirmed that the club have made three separate offers to last season's Players' Player of the Season and his representatives, with all three being rejected as he seeks to keep his options open with several other clubs keen to add him to their squad.
Saddlers Chief Executive Stefan Gamble insisted that the club had tried all it can to come to terms on a new deal with the 26-year-old and believe that the former Posh midfielder remains open to signing a deal as the have not received an outright 'no'.
It was also confirmed that the club have not received an offer during the current transfer window, however, one club believed to be linked with a move is promotion-chasing Blackburn Rovers, who are looking to add to their attacking line up during the coming weeks.
