Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists ahead of this afternoon's League One clash with Scunthorpe United and offered an update on the injury status of several first-teamers including Joe Edwards and James Wilson.
Jon, who was speaking via the club's official website Saddlers.co.uk, revealed that he has an almost fully-fit squad to select from, said; "We’re okay and I’ve got a fully-fit squad - Joe was back with us on Thursday and Willo has trained all week. Callum Cockerill-Mollett is doing really well with his rehab, too."
Jon then went on to discuss the selection headache facing him ahead of the clash with Kory Roberts' recent form creating a welcome issue, he continued; "It’s a good place to be. We’re trying to take the momentum from the last two League games and if we can we’re in a good place going in the festive period. Of course Kory’s form has given me a selection headache. All you can do is keep your attitude right and take your chance when it comes.
"With Kory, whenever he has come in, he’s done well and impressed. Experience is important but for James, that doesn’t give him a divine right to come back in. I have to weigh up the opposition and look at how they train today before I pick my team."
