Walsall winger Kieron Morris has admitted that the recent rise is supporter frustration, which has seen manager Jon Whitney receive plenty of criticism, could be affecting some of his teammates.
Kieron insisted that he was able to focus on the match, but other players, who have endured jeers from the stands, could be affected by the added pressure.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Kieron said; "Personally, I just concentrate on the game, focus on the game and get on with the game. But it might affect other players. I don’t think we need that. We need confidence and for the fans to be helping us. Sometimes what we hear as players is disappointing."
Hereford-born Morris went on to admit that while it would be nice to have a little more support from the fans, he and his teammates have to give them something to shout about, he continued; "It is a two-way street. We need to win games and they will be back with us then. We can then take that into every game we go into. It will lift everyone and then we can go on an extended run."
