According to media reports, Walsall's on-loan West Bromwich Albion forward Tyler Roberts is on the transfer radar of French footballing giants Marseille, who have reportedly been tracking the Welsh Under-21 international for some time.
18-year-old Roberts, who is out of contract in the summer, has scored five goals in seventeen first-team appearances since joining the Saddlers on-loan in the summer, and is said to be on the radar of several high-profile sides all keen to snap him up at the end of the season.
Tyler has insisted that he is not concerned about his future and is keen to concentrate on helping the Saddlers move up the table while allowing his agent to handle any and all negotiations.
Reports on the Mirror's website suggest that Marseille could now persuade him to continue his footballing education in Ligue 1 where he would play alongside former West Ham United playmaker Dimitri Payet. The Orange Vélodrome side would be prepared to include Roberts in their first-team plans and would potentially only need to pay a compensation fee of around £280,000, should the deal head to tribunal.
