Walsall manager Jon Whitney has several injury concerns heading into Saturday afternoon's League One clash with Rotherham United, the 47-year-old has offered an update on the status of several first-teamers including Liam Roberts and Daniel Agyei.
The manager is hopeful that on-loan Burnley striker Dan Agyei (fatigue) and goalkeeper Liam Roberts (hamstring) will be available for selection but Saturday's clash with the Millers will come too soon for on-loan West Brom forward Tyler Roberts (hamstring) and midfielder Flo Cuvelier (knee), while frontman Amadou Bakayoko will also miss out as he serves the last game of his three-match suspension.
Whitney, speaking to club journalists, said; "Dan is fine - he stiffened up after jarring his back but I’m expecting him to be fit for the weekend. Liam Roberts is training. We will have a look at today and hopefully he can come back into the mix. Tyler still needs a week’s training so we’re looking at Oxford for him and Flo."
The Saddlers could welcome back on-loan Sheffield United defender James Wilson. The 28-year-old has missed the last two matches after his partner gave birth, but could return to action as the clash with the Millers comes into focus.
