Walsall Duo Selected For International Duty

Liam Kinsella and Shaun Donnellan have been named in Noel King's 18-man squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA 2019 Under-21 European Championships qualifying match against Norway.
Walsall's Liam Kinsella and on-loan West Bromwich Albion defender Shaun Donnellan have been named in the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad for the upcoming UEFA 2019 Under-21 European Championships qualifying match against Norway, which is scheduled to take place Next Tuesday evening at Marienlyst Stadion in Drammen.

Head Coach Noel King has gone for a largely-unchanged squad with his side currently top of qualifying group five on 10 points having claimed three wins out of their opening four matches.

Fourth-placed Norway held Ireland to a 0-0 draw at Tallaght Stadium in October and will need to win on Tuesday to keep any qualification hopes alive whilst Ireland will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign.

Liam Kinsella has been named among the squad's midfielders despite his recent decision to concentrate on the right-back role, whilst Donnellan, who has made ten first-team appearances since joining the Saddlers in the summer, will likely continue at in the centre of defence.

Kins and Donnellan join striker Tyler Roberts (Wales Under-21s) and midfielder Maziar Kouhyar (Afghanistan) in being selected for international action. We wish them all the best for the coming week.
