Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett has this evening confirmed that Glassboys striker Jordan Archer, who recently spent a spell on trial with Walsall, is the subject of a so-called 'seven day approach' from Vanarama National League side Tranmere Rovers.
23-year-old, Walsall-born Archer began his career with nearby Chasetown, where he progressed through the youth and development ranks into the first-team. After making his Scholars debut Jordan went on to gain experience with spells at Cradley Town, Tipton Town, Tividale, Redditch United, Boldmere St. Michaels and Bedworth United before joining the Glassboys in November 2016.

Jordan, who stands at 6ft,3in tall, has scored nine goals in the Evo-Stik Premier Division so far this season is said to be on several other club's radars as he continues to make a mark in the early stages of the 2017/18 campaign.
It is important to note that no deal has yet been reached but Rovers are expected to make their move over the coming days with manager Micky Mellon keen to add to his attacking options.
