Walsall wing-back Luke Leahy, who has registered two goals and three assists since arriving from Falkirk over the summer, has spoken to the local press and insisted that he always knew that he was good enough to play at this level, and is enjoying proving people wrong.
Luke, who was speaking via the Express & Star, said; "I knew I would be good enough – it was just a case of proving it to people who didn’t know me. Hopefully I am doing that at the minute. Both me and Nicky Devlin hadn’t experienced League One. We came down wanting to prove to everyone we are good enough and that we can play even higher.
"We’ve come into a defence that is completely new. But the back six, including the keeper, has done really well. We are communicators and there are leaders in there. We are not far off being a very, very good side."
