Saddlers boss Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press ahead of Saturday afternoon's League One clash with Portsmouth, and has confirmed that he is looking to add 'one or two' more players to his squad, with particular attention being focused on wider positions.
Jon, who was speaking via the Express & Star, said; "I'd still like to add one or two. I’ve got my name in the hat for a couple, but so have several other clubs. I'm looking in wide areas – I want to bring some pace into the team.
"I’m still looking for something up top and possibly midfield. I’m making sure I keep my hand in in case anything develops and becomes available. It’s mainly the same targets I’ve been chasing – and I’m just waiting to see if anything happens. Things are now starting to filter down from the Premier League."
