Walsall Football Club have this afternoon confirmed that St Francis Group, which currently sponsors the Community Stand, has reached an agreement to extend their deal for another season.
News, released via Saddlers.co.uk, confirms; The agreement will see St Francis Group continue to sponsor the Community Stand, and within that will also be giving away 300 tickets to Saddlers fans in the local community to see first-team games across the 2017/18 season.
St Francis Group are one of the UK’s leading regeneration specialists and an expert in brownfield development, and operate many sites across Walsall. This sponsorship agreement started last season and the club are delighted to continue that relationship, and with the benefits it will bring to the local community.
Walsall FC Community Programme Director Adam Davy spoke to club journalists, and welcomed the agreement, he said; "I would like to thank St Francis Group for their donation of 300 tickets to the Community Department.
"Their sponsorship of the Community Stand is fantastic for the club. To now have an allocation of tickets to use in the community is a gesture that I want to make sure we use to the fullest.
"It is our intention to offer these tickets out to groups in Walsall that will gain benefits from attending Walsall games here at the Banks's Stadium.
"We will, through the social media channels at the club, be looking for opportunities to donate these tickets to worthy causes throughout the season. I am excited about the challenge of making sure we have a positive impact with the free tickets."
Commercial Manager Wayne Thomas also welcomed the deal, he said; "I am delighted that St Francis Group renewed with us for another twelve months as Community Stand sponsors. Last year they gave away hundreds of tickets to worthy causes that gave some children locally their first experience of a professional game.
"This ranged from local schools to grassroots football clubs and local community schemes. By gifting them across to our Community Programme to distribute, we know all tickets will go to worthy causes that are deserving of this exciting opportunity."
