The Walsall Football Supporters' Trust have released a statement via their official website calling on Saddlers supporters to back the team ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
The statement, released via WalsallFCTrust.org.uk, confirms; We're all aware of the negativity that's been surrounding the club of late following certain press articles, social media posts and comments and concerns raised by many supporters throughout the closed season and during the build up to the forthcoming 2017/18 League One Season, but the Trust Board feel that with the start of the season just 4 days away, its time to start getting behind the team again and show them that we're with them all the way.
A negative response from the stands can affect the players greatly and if we want to at least try to start the season on a high, it is up to us the supporters, the proverbial twelfth man, to help the team achieve that.
Through thick or thin, win lose or draw, every one of us chose to dedicate our lives to supporting The Saddlers; we can't pick and choose who we want to support every week, and taking our support elsewhere should be unthinkable, that's why we urge you all to show your support and show just how much we love Walsall FC, the team we're proud to call our own.
