Following the news that he'd joined the Saddlers on a six-month loan deal, Bury winger Zeli Ismail has spoken to club journalists and discussed excitement as he joins a club which he has always admired.
Zeli, a product of Wolverhampton Wanderers' Academy system, was speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, and said; "When I was at Wolves I used to look at Walsall and think 'I’d love to be there. It was local and I knew a lot of lads there like Anthony Forde. Sharpy is here now and I played with him at Burton.
"I know what he’s about - and I spoke to the gaffer and we had a quick conversation. I’ve played against Walsall many a time and you could see the way they play and their philosophy - I want to be part of that.
"I like to get the ball to feet, make runs behind and help the team create. If I have a bad game, I'll still work my socks off. I was much younger playing with Sharpy - now I’ve got a lot more experience and there’s plenty of positives to come from me."
