Walsall Football Club have (finally) confirmed that teenage midfielder Milan Butterfield has put pen-to-paper on a new one-year contract.
Milan, who has today agreed to a one-month loan with Vanarama National League North side Leamington, spoke to club journalists and welcomed the opportunity to remain with the team before going on to discuss how he has settled into life in the Midlands.
Milan said; “I’m very happy to be here for another season. I’ve got good friends here, it’s a nice area and it’s good football. It’s kind of a culture shock coming over from Bermuda - it was very different for me.
"I’ve stayed on my own and done stuff I haven’t had to do back at home. I’ve got over it now and I think I’m good! I’ve grown as a person here. I’m close with Kory, Maz, Sangha, Erhun. We’re all very close."
