Walsall Football Club have confirmed the signing of Sheffield United defender James Wilson, who arrives at Banks's Stadium on a season-long loan.
28-year-old Wilson, a former Welsh international, has made over one-hundred and eighty first-team appearances during a career which has spanned over a decade.
Chepstow-born Wilson began his career at Bristol City, and turned professional in 2006. Over the next eight years James would make thirty-four appearances for the Robins and also enjoyed loan spells with Brentford and Cheltenham Town before leaving the club in January 2014.
At the end of January 2014 Wilson penned a six-month deal with Oldham Athletic,a deal which would ultimately be extended as he remained with the Latics until the summer of 2016.
James made over one-hundred first-team appearances for Oldham before rejecting a new deal and joining Sheffield United on a two-year contract in 2016.
Wilson failed to make much of an impact at Bramall Lane last season, making just ten first-team appearances over the lengthy campaign.
