Walsall Football Club have been named among a small group of clubs being linked with a move for Leeds United striker Lee Erwin, as manager Jon Whitney continues to prepare for the 2017/18 campaign.
22-year-old, Belshill born Erwin is a product of Motherwell's youth system, a club where he turned professional in 2012.
At the beginning of the 2013/14 campaign Lee enjoyed a superb loan spell with Arbroath,where he would score eight goals in eleven appearances, including a brace on his debut, which took place just 24-hours after arriving at Gayfield Park.

After three seasons and thirty-seven first-team appearances, Erwin departed Fir Park and joined Leeds United, signing a three-year deal. Since his arrival at Elland Road Lee has made just twelve first-team appearances and is yet to find the back of the net.
Erwin, who is said to be surplus to requirements at Elland Road, has enjoyed loan spells with Bury, where he made just three goalless appearances, and Oldham Athletic, where he his the back of the net ten times in forty outings.
Charlton Athletic, Milton Keynes Dons and recently promoted Plymouth Argyle are also said to be tracking the former Scotland Under 17, 18 and 19 international as the 2017/18 campaign edges ever closer.
