On Saturday afternoon Jon Whitney's Saddlers took on a Kidderminster Harriers XI at the club's Essington Training Ground as they continue to prepare for the 2017/18 League One campaign.
The Saddlers, who will be travelling to the Lake District for a three-day training camp tomorrow afternoon, defeated the Harriers by two-goals-to-nil with Cameron Peters and Amadou Bakayoko finding the back of the net during a match which was played over three thirty-minute periods.
Following the match Walsall FC confirmed that the squad came through the match unscathed and will all be fit for the trip to Cumbria.
