The EFL have revealed the sixteen groups for the 2017/18 Checkatrade Trophy, with all forty-eight League One and League Two clubs being named.
The groups, which are split into Northern and Southern sections, each currently contain three EFL clubs with a fourth to be added on Wednesday, 12th July when the 16 invited Under-21 teams are drawn.
Jon Whitney's Saddlers have been named in Northern Section - Group E alongside Coventry City and Shrewsbury Town with one of the sixteen elite Under-21 sides to be added during the upcoming draw.
The Saddlers, Sky Blues and Shrews will come up against one of the following teams in the Group stage; Everton, Leicester City, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Stoke City, Sunderland or West Bromwich Albion.
The group stage fixtures will also be confirmed next Wednesday, with invited Under-21 teams to play all group games away from home.
