The EFL have today published the Saddlers' Sky Bet League One fixtures for the 2017/18 campaign. The upcoming season will see the men in red take on a variety of opposition including Blackburn Rovers, who they haven't faced in almost fifteen years, and Forest Green Rovers, a team which they have never been drawn against.
Jon Whitney's side, which returns to full training this coming Monday, will begin the campaign with an away clash with big-spending Bury.
The Saddlers' first home game of the season is against Oldham Athletic on Saturday, 12th August. We will end the campaign with an away trip to Fleetwood on Saturday, 5th May.
On Boxing Day we will host Bristol Rovers, while Plymouth Argyle will provide the opposition in our first match of 2018.
Walsall will also take on Shrewsbury at the Banks's on Saturday, 7th October, with the reverse fixture at Greenhous Meadow on Saturday, 10th March.
