Walsall to Face Shrewsbury Town as the Youth Alliance Season Comes to an End

Walsall's Under 18s side will be back in action this weekend as they play host to Shrewsbury Town in the final EFL Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.

The young Saddlers, who are managed by Head of Youth Graham Biggs, have won seventeen of their twenty-seven fixtures and can secure a second-place finish if they are victorious over the Shrews and Burnley fail to defeat Accrington Stanley on Saturday morning.

Biggs' side are in fourth position in the Alliance, well clear of fifth-placed Port Vale, and just four points off league leaders Blackpool, who will also be hoping for a Burnley slip-up as the Clarets and Tangerines battle it out for the title on the final day of the season.

Third-placed Rochdale have already completed their Alliance campaign so cannot affect the final table.

Walsall's final day clash with the Shrews will take place at Ray Hall Lane in Great Barr, with kick-off scheduled for 11:00am, admission is free.
