Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, who has been offered a new three-year contract to remain at the club, continues to be linked with a move away as Cardiff City become the latest side said to be keen on acquiring his services.
27-year-old, London born Etheridge, who joined the Saddlers in July 2015, has made almost one-hundred first-team appearances since arriving on a free transfer, enjoying almost completely uninterrupted first-team football.
The Philippines international, who has also been linked with a move to League One champions Sheffield United, is understood to be high on Neil Warnock's hit-list as the Bluebirds manager looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Walsall and Etheridge have been negotiating a new deal for many months and it is not known whether a three-year deal will sway his decision towards remaining at the club, however a conclusion is not expected to be too far away as first-team manager Jon Whitney will need to move swiftly to secure a replacement if the former Chelsea and Fulham youth product decides to move on.
