Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is expected to miss the rest of the 2016/17 Sky Bet League One campaign after picking up a hamstring injury during the recent 'Open Training Session', which took place at Banks's Stadium on Monday, 10th April.
The 27-year-old stopper, who is out-of-contract in the summer despite around twelve months of negotiations, has made forty-three appearances over the course of the season, keeping Craig MacGillivray out of the starting XI.
First-team manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the press following his side's disappointing draw with Shrewsbury Town on Good Friday afternoon, and confirmed that Etheridge will be out for 'two-to-three weeks' with MacGillivray taking over between the sticks, boosting his hopes of earning a new deal.
