Walsall midfielder Joe Edwards has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's League One clash with Oxford United, and has discussed his desire to enjoy the final six games of the season, but insisted that he and his teammates want to finish the campaign on a high.
Speaking via the Express and Star, Joe said; "We have got six games remaining and we are determined to enjoy the rest of the season. We're a group with a lot of personal pride. I think the manager picks players and signs players because they have that personal pride and that will to win.
"We have got a changing room full of players that want to improve and they know that if they do let things slip they won’t be involved. As a professional you need to want to win every game and improve yourself. The gaffer picks these players because they have that mental strength.
"We need to show now over the last six games that we want to finish as high as we can so we can take that momentum into next season."
