Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's League One clash with league leaders Sheffield United, and has backed striker Simeon Jackson, who has not scored in his last thirteen appearances, to get back among the goals.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "Strikers go through these spells. But good strikers come through it and keep their confidence. Of course his confidence is a bit low but I still think his work ethic has been really good. He has showed a lot of pride in the Walsall shirt and if he keeps believing, he will get that goal very soon."
