Walsall Football Club have confirmed that on-loan Scunthorpe United defender Scott Laird, who was due to return to his parent club following the expiration of his initial loan spell, will now remain with the Saddlers until the end of the season after both sides came to terms on a new agreement.
Laird, who made no secret of his desire to remain at Banks's Stadium, has made over twenty first-team appearances in a Walsall shirt and should be eligible for this weekend's League One clash with table-toppers Sheffield United.
Walsall FC are delighted to confirm the return of left-back Scott Laird on loan from Scunthorpe until the end of the season, subject to Football League clearance.
