Walsall Football Club have announced that they and Marstons Brewery have extended their agreement, which sees the club's Bescot Stadium renamed under the Banks's brand, extended until 2022.
The club first formed a partnership with Banks’s back in 1996. Following an 11-year association as Walsall’s official shirt sponsors, the Marston’s owned brand acquired the naming rights to the Bescot Stadium in 2007.
As part of the deal, Banks’s will continue to be the main beer supplier for the stadium, offering best sellers such as classic Banks’s Original and Amber Bitter.
The stadium will continue to carry the Banks’s name and still proudly boasts the significant Banks’s lettering on the entrance whilst the new Banks’s brand identity will be updated throughout.
Walsall Chief Executive, Stefan Gamble spoke to Saddlers.co.uk and welcomed the new deal, he said; "We’ve always enjoyed a close relationship with Banks’s and as one of our primary commercial partners, their support for the football club has been fantastic over the years.
"They are an organisation who are proud of their roots in the local area and boast a great reputation for supplying a wide range of quality beverages.
"Equally as important, the Banks’s brand reflects some of the core values which we hold dear and this renewal is a welcomed step towards further cementing their association with Walsall Football Club."
