Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press following Saturday afternoon's disappointing draw with Bury, which saw the Saddlers squander a three-goal lead to take just a point, and has admitted that his team must learn to deal with adversity if they are to succeed.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "We have to learn quick. Of course we are a young team and we develop players but you can only develop and get better if we cope with adversity better than we did.
"It took us five years with the other group to get them competing week-in, week-out. In the first two years there were lots of performances similar to Bury. I have to make sure it does not take us that amount of time again."
