Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press and offered a brief update on the status of summer signing Franck Moussa, revealing that he is currently working to improve the 27-year-old's fitness.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "I spoke to Franck after the Wimbledon game and said to him he’s a little bit behind the rest of the lads in terms of fitness. He wanted to play but I worked him on Monday for a 90-minute session and I worked him on the day of the Yeovil game for a 90-minute session.
"Giving him a 20-minute stint in a game would be no good for him. It’s not going to fast-track him. He needs some intense sessions so I have been doing some individual work with Franck to sharpen him up. He worked really hard so we can push him through for the weekend."
