As the Walsall squad take part in an 'Open Training Session', first-team manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press and confirmed that Anorthosis Famagusta forward Andreas Makris is in the region and expected to undergo a medical later today.
Andreas and his agent are also expected to begin discussions on a contract at some point today, and whilst the terms of the deal will likely remain undisclosed, reports on Sunday evening suggested that the Saddlers had lodged a €150,000 bid, with the Cypriot side seeking around €300,000 for the 20-year-old Cyprus international.
