Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press and discussed his desire to re-sign former Saddlers loanee Jordy Hiwula, who is out-of-favour at current parent club Huddersfield Town.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "Jordy I would love to get back in. He might be beyond our remit. But I have expressed my interest and called Jordy two or three times. It has been very open and honest.
"I like him as a kid. I think that me and my coaching staff can develop him as a player and I think we can take him to another level. Whether that is realistic or viable is up to them but I see Jordy as part of Walsall Football Club."
