With the opening game of the 2016/17 Sky Bet League One campaign edging ever closer, Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press and admitted that while he is keen to sign former Saddler Emmanuel Ledesma, he may be priced out of a move.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "I have spoken to Emmanuel’s agent. I was interested in speaking to him because I really like Emmy and I have kept in touch with him over the last few years. But I haven’t heard anything for a few weeks. He has got a lot offers in many different countries."
28-year-old Ledesma, who was dubbed the 'Black Country Messi' by Saddlers fans, is currently a free agent following his release by Rotherham United at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
