Following the news that he'd penned a four-year deal with Sky Bet Championship side Brentford, attacking midfielder Romaine Sawyers has taken to social media to release a brief statement thanking Walsall's staff, players and fans for their support over the past three seasons.
Romaine, who will be linking up with former Walsall manager Dean Smith and Assistant Richard O'Kelly, said; "I'd like to say a massive thanks to everyone associated with Walsall Football Club. The staff, players and the fans have made me and my family extremely welcome over the past three seasons.
"I've met some truly wonderful people along the way, and feel fortunate to have so many good memories that will remain with me for the rest of my career.
"I'll always have a place in my heart for a club that gave me the platform to score my first professional goal; to surpass 100 league appearances, and to play at the home of English football in-front of 72,000 fans.
"It's been a real honour to wear the Walsall shirt, and I hope the club can continue to prosper next season."
