Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press ahead of Saturday afternoon's pre-season clash with Derby County, and has discussed his belief that, following impressive performances versus Solihull Moors and Birmingham City, midfielder Flo Cuvelier could become a prized asset over the course of the season.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "Flo can play as one of the screening two who can then link in to Erhun Oztumer – but I also like him in the three because he has got great energy. He has got an extra turn of pace this year which he has got from the extra pre-season work he has done.
"If we can keep him fit and fresh, he can be quite fluid and rotate in that front four. You will see players drifting next season. I don’t want one set position for all of them. If you are fluid and you can rotate, it is very difficult to control. That is what I am after – that front four being very dynamic and fluid."
