Following a weekend of speculation, Walsall Football Club have now confirmed that 26-year-old former Southend United, Coventry City and Charlton Athletic midfielder Franck Moussa has put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract with the club.
Born in Belgium, Franck enjoyed youth spells with Anderlecht, West Ham United, Cambridge United, and Southend United before signing pro-terms with the Roots Hall club in 2006. He went on to make over one-hundred first-team appearances, also enjoying a loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers before departing for Leicester City in 2010.
Franck played just a handful of games in a Foxes shirt, but did make around thirty loan appearances as he enjoyed spells with Doncaster Rovers and Chesterfield.
He would go on to join Coventry City in 2012, and made over eighty first-team appearances over the next two seasons before joining Charlton Athletic in 2014 where he would go on to notch over twenty first-team appearances before returning to Southend on non-contract terms in March of this year.
