Walsall Captain Adam Chambers has spoken to the local press and insisted that it is important to look ahead to the future and get behind the club's new recruits rather than looking back at those players who have departed over the summer.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Adam said; “A lot of players had good seasons last season so other teams were going to be looking at them. That’s the way football is. We’ve got to look forward now to a new challenge, a new team, a new squad and we want to get back to those levels we hit last season.
“The important thing now is for us to gel as a team as quickly as possible and see where that takes us. I don’t think you should live in the past. It’s happened, there’s no point harping on about it –we’ve got to look forward. It’s a fresh new challenge and you’ve got to be excited by that.”
