Walsall Football Club have today confirmed the signing of 29-year-old, Canadian international striker Simeon Jackson, on a two-year deal.
Born in Jamaica, Simeon began his professional career with Rushden and DIamonds in 2004, and would go on to make over eighty first-team appearances before he joined Gillingham in January 2008.
Simeon would make over one-hundred appearances over the next two-years with the Gills, and his fine form convinced Norwich City to snap him up for a fee of £600,000 in the summer of 2010.
After departing Carrow Road in the at the end of the 2012/13 campaign, and following a brief spell with Eintracht Braunschweig, Simeon joined Millwall in February 2014, before going on to join Coventry City at the end of the season. He then moved Barnsley in the summer of 2015 before signing for Blackburn Rovers in January 2016.
Simeon, who was released at the end of last season, will be taking the number 9 shirt, recently vacated by Tom Bradshaw following his undisclosed transfer to Barnsley.
