With players such as Romaine Sawyers, Jason Demetriou, Sam Mantom, Anthony Forde and Milan Lalkovic out of contract on 30th June, Walsall Chief Executive Stefan Gamble has spoken to the local press and admitted that the club are almost powerless as many players simply want to wait until the club's position is known before deciding on where their futures lie.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Stefan said; “It’s not all about the club wanting to sign players on contracts, the players have also got to want to sign a contract with the club. Players have held out to see which division we are in before they commit their future.”
