Walsall's newest recruit, Colchester United's Joe Edwards, has spoken to club journalists and discussed his delight as he comes to terms on a two-year deal with the Banks's Stadium side.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Joe said; “I’m delighted to be here. It’s a fantastic club and they had a really good season last year. I’ve played against Walsall a few times before and they have always been a very good footballing side. They like to pass it about and they play with a good intensity.
“I had a meeting with the manager a few weeks ago and I came away thinking this was the club for me. Sometimes it just feels right and the fit is perfect. Jon’s a very enthusiastic guy - he impressed me and hopefully I impressed him which is why we came to this agreement.
“I’m happy when I’m playing and I’ll always give 100% and do my best for the team. I can’t wait to get started.”
