With Jon Whitney expected to be named as Walsall's permanent Head Coach later this week, players continue to be linked with a summer move to the Banks's Stadium. While some signings more likely than others, here's what we know about today's so-called target.
Today's potential signing is Plymouth Argyle's Player of the Year winning midfielder Graham Carey, who will not be out-of-contract until the end of the 2016/17 campaign, and has already pledged his immediate future to the club following Monday afternoon's Sky Bet League 2 Play-Off Final defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
Born in Blanchardstown, Ireland, Carey, who is also said to be a target of Barnsley and Millwall, began his career as an apprentice with Shelbourne before switching to Celtic's youth set-up in 2005.
After six-years, one first-team appearance and loan spells with Bohemians, St Mirren and Huddersfield Town, Graham joined St Mirren on a permanent deal in the summer of 2011.
He spent two seasons with the Buddies before joining Ross County in July 2013. Graham spend two-seasons and made over sixty first-team appearances before joining Plymouth Argyle one a one-year deal last summer.
Carey signed a contract extension earlier this month and seems highly unlikely to be on the Saddlers' radar at this stage of proceedings. Another one for the ever-increasing 'probably not' pile.
