According to media reports, former Walsall manager Dean Smith and his Brentford side are hoping to begin their summer break by swooping for Walsall midfielder Romaine Sawyers, who has continued to earn praise with several stellar performances on the road to the Play-Offs.
GetWestLondon.co.uk report; Brentford look set up to wrap up a deal for Romaine Sawyers in the coming weeks. The Bees are believed to be close to signing Walsall midfielder Sawyers, who has been long a term target.
Sawyers, 24, played under Bees boss Dean Smith for the Saddlers and featured in their FA Cup win at Griffin Park back in January.
The Saints Kitts & Nevis international started his career at West Brom but made no appearances for the Baggies before moving to the Bescot three years ago, where he has bagged 19 goals in 159 games.
