Walsall midfielder Romaine Sawyers has today taken to Twitter to address some of the criticism he, and many of his teammates, received following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg defeat to Barnsley.
Speaking via his official Twitter account, Romaine, who was the subject of plenty of abuse following the Saddlers' three-nil defeat, said; "There's a fine line between constructive criticism and stupidity. But we will do what we can as a team to put things right starting today!
"All I ask is continued support like what got us to the positions we are in and let's see where we end up on Thursday, see you guys soon."
Romaine also answered some of the criticism directly, pointing out that Rico Henry, who was also subject to personal attacks, is still in the early stages of his career and should be given more support as he continues his footballing education.
