The pitch at the Banks's Stadium is currently undergoing renovation work ahead of the 2016/17 English Football League campaign.
Leicestershire based sports turf contractors Woodward Turf Care have started to remove the top layer of the pitch with new Ryegrass replacing the weaker grass.
Walsall's Head Groundsman, Paul Mason spoke via the club's official Twitter account, and discussed what he and his team had planned, he said; "We're removing the weaker grass from the surface and will the re-seed it with the stronger Ryegrass"
