Later this morning, Walsall Football Club's Under 18s will travel to the Wirral as they take on Tranmere Rovers in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.
Neil Woods' Saddlers currently sit second in the Alliance table, and arrive at this weekend's game following a midweek two-all draw with Wrexham, a Cameron Peters brace, which was his second in two games, earning a point for the Saddlers at Colliers Park.
Tranmere sit in fifth position, and their most recent match was against Lancashire rivals Burnley and saw the 'Super White Army' win by five-goal-to-one as two goals apiece for Scott Medlen and Tolani Omotola were added to by a superb fifth from Tom Croughan.
Today's match is scheduled to kick off at 11:00am, and will take place at Tranmere Rovers' Raby Vale Training Ground on Willaston Road in Thornton Hough.
