Later this morning, Walsall's Under 18s will play host to Wigan Athletic Under 18s in the Saddlers' final Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.
Neil Woods' Saddlers head into the match following Thursday evening's Midland Youth Cup Final victory over Basford United, a victory that saw the youngsters retain the trophy they first won last season.
Ahead of today's match, Walsall sit third in the Alliance and have won fifteen of their twenty-seven games, drawing five and losing the remaining seven, they are seven points behind today's opponents and eight behind Alliance leaders Bury.
Wigan's most recent Alliance match took place on Tuesday and saw them hold Bury to a one-all draw as the Latics' Callum Lang scored thirteen minutes from the end to cancel out Callum Styles' earlier opener.
