Earlier today, Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side played host to Burnley in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.
Walsall went into the game following a six-nil Midland Youth Cup Semi-Final victory over Boston United, while Burnley suffered a three-goals-to-one defeat to Accrington Stanley during their most recent outing.
The young Saddlers took the lead just four minutes into the game as Jordon Sangha, who recently turned pro, found Tobias Hayles-Docherty in space, the midfielder sent a shot across the 'keeper into the far corner.
Hayles-Docherty was on-hand to double the Saddlers' lead twelve minutes later as he slotted home following a nice attacking move from the men in red, Burnley unable to cope with the rapid passing play.
Walsall further extended their lead eleven minutes into the second half as William Shorrock sent a powerful effort past the helpless goalkeeper.
Burnley did grab a consolation goal fifteen minutes before the end but this proved to be nothing more than a whimper as the Saddlers took all three points.
