Walsall winger Kieron Morris has spoken to club journalists following Tuesday evening's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Swindon Town, and has discussed his goal, the Saddlers' recent managerial issues and his chances of breaking into the starting eleven.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Kieron said; “I just want to make an impact when I play – that’s what all substitutes want to do. I’ve been really close with a lot of shots and I think I’ve hit the bar four times this season. But it was really nice to see this one go in. I don’t think I’ve ever scored that quickly after coming on before.”
Kieron went on to discuss his frustration at not always making the starting line-up, but agreed that Interim Head Coach Jon Whitney is supportive and gives him confidence that his time will come, he said; “I’ve been feeling really frustrated recently. With new managers coming in, it’s been hard for me to get into the starting line-up. But I think Jon sees me as a really good player and he says he wants me to keep doing what I’m doing and I’ll get in. I’ve just got to do that and keep working hard."
