Walsall defender Andy Taylor has spoken to the local press ahead of Saturday's League 1 meeting with Sheffield United, and has discussed the Saddlers' useage of two different defensive systems, insisting it is a big advantage as it keeps the opposition guessing.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Andy said; “Playing in a back three is not something I’ve done before – I’ve always been a left-back to be honest – quite boring. But we’ve introduced it this season, under Dean Smith at first, when we were flipping between the two formations.

“Like any formation, a back three has got its pros and its cons – some games it works better than others, in others the back four works better. But I think the fact that we’ve got that in our locker, in our armoury is a big advantage, because it will always keep teams guessing and it always gives us a Plan B.

“If something isn’t quite working, we can flip to it and everybody is quite comfortable and knows their role within it. I see it as a big advantage that we can do that.”
