Walsall Captain Adam Chambers has spoken to the local press ahead of Saturday's League 1 meeting with Colchester United, and has discussed his belief that he is playing some of the best football of his career.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Adam, who recently made his 500th career appearance, said; “I think I am possibly playing the best football of my career. I think it all comes down to making sure you enjoy the football you are playing. That helps you to want to train hard and keep improving. That’s been the big thing in my time at Walsall.
“Even though I was aged 30 when I came here, it’s a learning environment here and you are always learning different ways to play the game and different aspects of the game. I think I have improved as a player in my time here even though it’s during the latter stages of my career.”
